About South River, NJ - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

South River, a New Jersey borough located in Middlesex County, is located along the South River where the waterway marks the borough’s northeastern boundary. The borough also borders the communities of East Brunswick and Sayreville, both of which are located in Middlesex County. Originally formed as the town of Washington within the East Brunswick Township in 1870, South River became incorporated as an independent borough in 1898 as part of an act of the New Jersey Legislature, replacing the Township of Washington. The borough was home to about 16,008 individuals according to the 2010 United Sates Census.

South River Public Schools serve children of the community in kindergarten through twelfth grade. The borough’s school district oversees four different schools. Middlesex County College provides college level individuals of both South River and the rest of Middlesex County with higher education opportunities. Also, about 6 miles southeast of South River is the famous Rutgers University.

Visitors of South River will find no shortage of things to see or do. South River is home to 12 beautiful parks where individuals may enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. South River’s Main Street has plenty of opportunities for those looking to shop and dine as well as visit some of the borough’s historic buildings.

Residents of South River will find it necessary to be prepared for the borough’s changing seasons as temperatures vary. Summer months in the borough see average temperatures rising into the mid-80s during the afternoons and dipping into the high 50s at night. Humidity is often very high, making the afternoons feel hot so it is wise to invest in a properly running HVAC unit in order to beat the heat.

Winter months in South River see snowfall often beginning in November and lasting until April. January sees an average snowfall of 9 inches. Heat pumps and furnaces are necessary in order to remain warm and prevent plumbing and interior piping from being damaged. With the proper climate controls, potential costly repairs can be avoided while also remaining comfortable during the winter months.
