Located on the Raritan River, Sayreville is a New Jersey borough of about 42,704 located in Middlesex County. Originally incorporated from portions of the South Amboy Township, Sayreville was formally incorporated as a township on April 6th, 1876 and reincorporated as the Borough of Sayreville on April 29th, 1919. Students in kindergarten through twelfth grade are served by Sayreville Public Schools and the Middlesex County College serves as one of the area’s colleges along with Rutgers University.
