About Old Bridge, NJ - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Old Bridge, a New Jersey township located in Middlesex County, is a bedroom community of New York City located across the Raritan Bay from Staten Island. Originally incorporated as the Madison Township under a New Jersey Legislature act in 1869, the township’s name was changed to Old Bridge in a referendum held in November of 1975. The original inhabitants of the Old Bridge area were the Lenni Lenape Native Americans and those who settled in Old Bridge specifically were known as the Unami, meaning “people down the river.” As of the 2010 United States Census, the population of Old Bridge is 65,375.

Several notable attractions are located in the Old Bridge area. The Cheesequake State Park is an attractive 1,610 acre State Park located in the Old Bridge Township. The park lies in a transitional zone between two separate ecosystems and offers many exciting activities such as camping, fishing, swimming, and hiking. Lying along the Raritan Bay, Old Bridge Waterfront Park offers beautiful views of the Ocean as well as fishing piers, a playground, and a trail. For individuals looking to stay indoors, the Thomas Warne Museum across from the Old Bridge High School is a historic museum dedicated to Thomas Warne. Thomas Warne and his father purchased 1,000 acres of land that later became the Madison Township in 1869, now known as Old Bridge.

Old Bridge is located in a moderate climate where summers are warm and humid and winters tend to be cold. Residents will find it necessary to invest in home cooling and heating systems in order to stay comfortable throughout the year. Throughout the winter months where temperatures average in the low to mid-40s, residents will find that a reliable furnace or heat pump will be required.

During the summers when temperatures tend to be mild, ranging from the lower to mid-80s, humidity levels are high, creating an often uncomfortable environment. Investing in a central air conditioning system and having it serviced regularly by an experienced HVAC pro will help to make the humid Old Bridge summers more bearable.
