About 7 miles south of New Brunswick, New Jersey, East Brunswick is a Middlesex County township totaling almost 48,000 according to the 2010 United States Census. Part of the New York City metropolitan area, East Brunswick is located on the southern portion of the Raritan River. The township was incorporated from portions of both the Monroe and North Brunswick townships in 1860. The State of New Jersey’s center of population is located on Milltown Road in East Brunswick according to a 2000 Census.

East Brunswick is also home to the Middlesex County Fair, a seven-day event held every August.
