About Clark, NJ - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Clark, a Union County, New Jersey township located south of Newark, the state’s largest city, is a historical township with about 14,756 residents according to the 2010 United States Census.  Clark was incorporated as a township under a New Jersey Legislature act on March 23rd, 1864, a little over a year before the end of the Civil War. The township derives its name from Abraham Clark, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Portions of Clark were withdrawn in 1871 and 1941 in order to form both the Cranford Township and the Winfield Township.

Like many northern New Jersey townships, Clark is full of history. Remnants of the area include two 17th century buildings, the Robinson Plantation House and the Squire Hartshorne House. Also, the Homestead Farm at Oak Ridge located in Clark was the site of a battle during the American Revolutionary War. Many notable individuals hail from Clark including Kenneth Ham, a NASA astronaut, Kurt Sutter, creator of the television series the Sons of Anarchy, and Matt Poskay, a professional lacrosse player.

Averages during the summer months range from the low to mid-80s, which is wonderful for those who like to avoid extreme heat. Humidity in the area has a tendency to be high.
